Tommy Fleetwood is one of Europe’s leading golfers, having achieved success internationally as a four-time European Tour winner and a Ryder Cup player. Born on 19 January 1991, in Southport, a costal town in the north west of England renowned as a popular golfing area, Tommy first took up the game at his local municipal course, Southport Golf Links, before showing promise as a junior at Formby Hall under the tutelage of Norman Marshall.
He went on to enjoy a decorated amateur career, finishing runner-up in the 2008 Amateur Championship and representing Great Britain & Ireland in the 2009 Walker Cup before turning professional the following year. In 2011, he became the youngest player to win the European Challenge Tour Rankings at the age of 20 years and 290 days after earlier winning the Kazakhstan Open.
